‘Let’s Kill The Summer’ debut album is a whirl of hippy-infused sounds. Aptly named title with a downbeat mix of waning, 60s psych folk tracks. Sitar, pan flute, Wurlitzer and guitar add to the interwoven dreamlike tones. A varied kaleidoscope of tunes from The Singleman Affair. The opening track ‘Is Madras Morning is’ is a beautifully crafted instrumental tune with the mystical drone of the sitar. Other highlights include ‘Little Sister’ with its whispered guitar rifts and subtle emotional melodies. ‘Leaving Mark’ shifts in tempo and is as upbeat as it gets’.
If you are after a chameleon mix of introspective sounds then this is the album for you.
