Alan McGee Remember Arthur Lee

Oh holiday and hearing this.  It’s been a bad year for people passing away - Nikki Sudden, Ivor Cutler, Syd Barrett and now Arthur Lee.  It’s sad.  I first met Arthur in ‘93 with Bobby.  We went down to see him do vocals on an indie band, I think Baby Lemonade, we were taken there by Rodney Bingerheimer.  We ended the night ‘round the pool at the Chateau Marmont where Primal Scream were holed up.  Me, Gillespie, Evan Dando, Rodney and Arthur being a human jukebox playing us our favourite Love songs.  He came over and done Creation Undrugged at the Albert Hall.  I was in Rehab so missed it but the tapes tell me he stole the show by a mile.  All the Creation bands played it including an Oasis without Liam.  Arthur, a very dignified dude—Rest in Peace...McGee.
