Trashmonk - All Change

Trashmonk’s Mona Lisa Overdrive was the only album that Alan McGee released twice, first on Creation Records and again on Poptones Records.  Why?  In the brouhaha surrounding the demise of Creation, Alan and many felt that the record never got its just rewards.  It is 00’s answer album to Brian Wilson’s Smile.  A cult album that was a cult album before it was ever released.  With each song on Mona Lisa Overdrive, the songs change, the textures morp and your life will get rearranged.  Amaryllis starts life in the Beatles White Album before folding out into a fuzz-buzz-base and three-chord psych-noise monster.
