19/03/07The Laughing Windows in a psychedelic throw-down—The Laughing Windows are opening up for Dead Meadow in August for the long hot summer in London. Details to be confirmed. What? You can’t wait? No mind. You can always go over to their myspace page and listen to the tracks from their forthcoming mini-album. And remind yourself that the Cherrystones remix of Opel Hair is going to be fantastic. The people at the office are calling it the ‘Dub Sabbath’ remix. And yes, Cherrystones set out to shake your ribcage with the bottom end of Opel Hair. So err… look out!

Cherrystones remixes the Sessions...
22/02/07Poptones just heard the first parts of the mighty Cherrystones remix of the Sessions. And minds were blown. Heavy drums. Psychedelic afrobeat. The Sessions reimagined as the Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Afrobeat Experience. The thing is people—its not a dance remix. Its a rock’n’roll remix. And it will blow your minds. 19/02/07Those kraut rock groove kids are hitting Dean Street @ Push on the 20th of February. We’ve been listening to the new EP pretty much non-stop around the Poptones offices and this would be a good chance to hear previews of the new material (with phat grooves provided by All Traps Set of Voice of the Seven Woods) ... look out for the EP in late June. With remixes by the ever fabulous Cherrystones!

On Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March 2007, The Green Man will be returning to the legendary Baskerville Hall for a Spring Equinox party.
The scene of the 2004 and 2005 festivals, “The Rite of Spring” will be 2 days of countryside celebration in the Black mountains.

Cherrystones and The Laughing Windows play Rites of Spring -- the Greenman Spin Off Festival!
14/02/07The first DJs have been confirmed for the Rite Of Spring equinox celebration in March. Gruff Rhys and The Earlies are among those joining the mix of music, cinema and general madness in the Black Mountains…
Rite Of Spring takes place in Baskerville Hall, Powys, Wales, from 23-24 March.
A spin-off from the hugely successful Green Man Festival, the two day event has also confirmed The Laughing Windows, The Fence Collective, Cherrystones, Andy Votel and Jonny Trunk for DJing duties.
The party runs from sunset to sunrise each night and entertainment includes guest DJs, psych folk cinema and silent films with live music accompaniment.
Expect also a few witches and druids, alongside pagan puppet shows and holistic therapies.
Accommodation is available within the stately Baskerville Hall, from sunken baths to bunk rooms, or you can fend for yourself in the nearby town of Hay-on-Wye.
Tickets are on sale priced £60 for the weekend and available here.
